27th Anniversary

It’s 7:25 PM and I need to get out of my hotel robe and into my dress. Dinner reservation is at 8 but a very short ride in the hotel car will get us to Navio on time. Lenny is still on the patio finishing his cigar by the fire pit (strumming his guitar), I’m on the couch by the fire place. Each of us sipping our glass of Merlot we found at the impromtu wine tasting. The Italian deli was next door to the gas station where we filled up the car.

  1. Cigar was great, dinner fantastic! It’s hard to believe it has been 27 years, but it has been worth it. This impromtu weekend getaway has been a real blessing.

  2. Where am I? How did I get here? How in the world did I end up (and enjoy) “listening” to Teresa talk and talk and talk? Somebody help me!nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

jk:) I value the random things you have to say and hope to try some of your (lower carb) recipes!

    • that’s funny Karen, you really don’t know how you ended up here? I’m guessing you clicked on a link from facebook regarding recipes or some old post related to this blog….welcome, glad you enjoy my random thoughts (did you read the most recent one on my love of the Fleur de lis symbol?) – I really haven’t been giving this very much attention and I love sharing tips and recipes. When we did low carb I mostly made salads and grilled meat (I also bought frozen bagged creamed spinach since we weren’t watching the fat intake – it was quick, easy and tastier than I would have thought). I did stumble upon a really good salad combination while my (healthy) friend was visiting, I’ll add that next…..
